So for those of you looking for a good place to eat in London, here’s a list of a few places I had the chance to visit. The list was composed with the kind help of Ofer, my local culinary guide to London.
Roof top boundary: A nice place I recommend visiting in the evening when the weather is pleasant, since you’ll sit on the roof, in the open air. For dessert you should try the excellent Pavlova. we shared it (5 of us) and it felt like an amusement park for adults.
In this place I had the best meal of my visit. I ordered the business menu, which is served even on weekends, and includes a three course meal for 27£. We added 15£ for 3 glasses of wine – one for each course.
We opened with a wonderful fennel cream and lemon jelly with a touch of black olives.
For the first course I had the egg dish, which came in a beautiful glass bowl filled with egg mousse and wild mushroom sauce. Inside the bowl rested peacefully a small tasteful cracker. The first bite brought out a sigh of joy, a joy that hasn’t stopped till the last bite. It was a surprising delicious plate.
For the main course I had lamb stake with thyme and tempura vegetables, which was very good but not amazing like the first two plates.
For a side dish I got a wonderful leek fondue soaking in butter and parmesan cheese.
To save the indecision regarding dessert we simply took all three available option on the menu and divided them between us. And so we had a cheese plate,
and excellent coconut cake with white chocolate mousse, lime and blueberry which was served with a refreshing raspberry sorbet,
and a plate of five tarts: chocolate, lemon, coffee, cinnamon and pistachio.
To sum it all up: it was an amazing lunch, the memories from it will be with me for a long time and I strongly recommend you all to pay this restaurant a visit as soon as possible.
